Fine Art Landscape Photography Prints

Prints are integral to my artistic process. While photography often focuses on capturing and editing images, the true essence of my art emerges in the print. I prioritize printing throughout my creative journey, considering it an essential aspect of my work. This is essentially what defines fine art landscape photography for me. My process extends beyond the moment I capture an image; it's about expressing my emotional connection with a scene, and that expression only truly materializes when ink meets paper.

One standout feature of my fine art landscape photography prints is their meticulous attention to detail. While images may appear striking on a computer screen, the true beauty lies in the intricate details that come to life in print. Each print I produce upholds exceptionally high standards and is crafted using top-quality materials. This ensures the preservation and longevity of my artistic vision for generations to come.

My goal is for every customer to be completely satisfied with their fine art print. I strive to make the selection and acquisition process as seamless as possible. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Throughout this article, you'll find comprehensive information on print options, sizing guidance, and my commitment to your satisfaction.

ChromaLuxe Fine Art Metal Prints

Metal prints are a very popular print medium for a myriad of reasons. One of the most notable is their durability. ChromaLuxe metal prints are made from high-quality specialized aluminum that are resistant to scratches, moisture, and fading which helps to prolong the display for decades. While these are not indestructible and should still be handled with care, they are far less fragile than basically any other ready to hang alternative. Being metal they are also easy to clean and maintain, requiring only a soft cloth to remove dust or fingerprints. This low-maintenance nature makes them an ideal choice for high-traffic areas where artwork may be exposed to dirt or smudges. Thus if you’re showing these in a home, small-business, or even commercial setting, ChromaLuxe prints are built to last a lifetime which makes them an excellent long-term investment for art collectors and enthusiasts.

There are multiple options for metal prints but ChromaLuxe metal prints are unmatched when it comes to image clarity, detail, and vibrancy. The unique dye sublimation process infuses dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets, resulting in stunning clarity and depth. Matching ChromaLuxe with the print studio I’ve spent years narrowing down, you’ll absolutely receive the highest quality fine art metal prints you can find. This ensures that your fine art photography is presented exactly as I intend it with all the nuances, details, and subtleties faithfully reproduced.

If you’ve never seen a metal print in person, the first words I associate with them are modern and sleek which will add a touch of sophistication to any space. My metal prints come ready to hang with a buddy system mount and hanging hardware is included. This makes displaying your artwork quick and effortless, with no need for additional framing or mounting supplies. My choice of a white matte surface of the aluminum substrate creates a contemporary look that will complement a wide range of decor styles. The beauty of these prints is that they can sit quietly in a room or be the center of attention, it’s completely up to you.

If you do prefer a different presentation other than matte, please reach out to me as some prints do present better with a slight gloss to them. It’s also highly dependent on where you plan on displaying the piece as well, so talk to me if you’re unsure.

Stunning Acrylic Fine Art Prints

Fine art acrylic prints offer a very unique presentation. These start with a beautiful archival fine art metallic paper that creates beautiful depth, color range, and clarity. This print is then layered behind a glare-free sheet of acrylic using crystal clear adhesives for pristine clarity. Another special adhesive is used to combine the print layer with an acrylic backer which is important to prevent warping of the print that naturally happens with the expansion or contraction of acrylic. This all happens inside a cleanroom with a very labor intensive process for each layer. The acrylic used to display your fine art print is lens-grade quality for unparalleled clarity combined with world class anti-glare technology.

Where acrylic glass really stands out is witnessing it under proper lighting conditions, where the reflections of the metallic print within the acrylic generate a 3-dimensional presentation that you cannot experience elsewhere. Once you see it in person, you’ll never want anything else!

A quick synopsis of the benefits of our acrylic prints:

  • Pristine clarity using specially crafted acrylic

  • Combine with proper lighting for minimal glare

  • Blocks up to 99% UV Light

  • Durable and easy to clean

  • 3D Presentation for a unique viewing experience

Archival Fine Art Paper Prints

Every photo is different and the paper you choose really matters for the final presentation of an image. Some papers are far better at accurately representing those vibrant and dynamic scenes while others present in a more subtle textured manner for those quieter moments. Thus when you order a print, I will select between preferred paper type to properly display your fine art masterpiece.

All of my prints are curated and managed by me. I’ve narrowed down three of my favorite archival paper print mediums: Hahnemuhle Photorag, Canson Baryta, or Fuji C-Type Matte. I’ve included a few details to give you an idea of how each paper presents itself and the image you’ve selected. I break down this entire process in my video about printing your own work that you can find here.

I HIGHLY recommend taking your print directly to a professional framer without removing it from it’s shipping container to prevent damaging it. Each print will come with an extra 1” border. This will make matteing the image much easier and in the event you don’t add a matte it can easily be cut off by your framer as well.

I’m only offering prints up to poster size (24”x36”) as anything larger typically requires custom framing. If you’d like something larger, contact me.

Hahnemuhle Photorag

Type: Giclée with an archival life of 80+ years using 11 inks at a resolution of 2880 x 1440 DPI.

Paper: Hahnemühle Photorag is one the most popular archival papers in the print medium. Presents muted blacks, excellent detail, and natural color reproduction. This will have an offwhite tone with a super matte finish. This is a sensitive paper that should be handled with care!

Canson Baryta

Type: Giclée with an archival life of 80+ years using 11 inks at a resolution of 2880 x 1440 DPI.

Paper: Printed on Canson Baryta which presents superb black density, bright whites, and perfect detail. This print will have a very light gloss and an extra smooth texture. This is a sensitive paper that should be handled with care!

Fuji C-Type Matte

Type: Silver-based digital C-type archival prints

Paper: Printed on Fuji Crystal archive paper that has a semi-matte finish somewhat similar to a standard lustre finish but with a slightly smoother texture. Colors and details pop and look very natural bringing life to any setting.

Paper Prints Carbon Neutral Production

All production of these paper prints will be environmentally offset. Meaning the deliveries, energy used to create the prints, and even the cloud storage emissions will be offset. All paper prints and deliveries use sustainable and environmentally conscious materials including:

  • Sustainably sourced inkjet papers such as Canson, Hahnemühle and Fuji

  • Recyclable packaging envelops and tubes

  • Recyclable cardboard stiffeners

  • Paper tape made from 100% recycled fibers

  • Biodegradable bubble wrap

  • Wax paper instead of plastic envelopes

I HIGHLY recommend taking these to a professional frame shoppe before opening. Some of these prints can be very fragile and can be damaged quite easily trying to frame them yourself. If you do plan on putting them in your own frame just be extra cautious.

Fine Art Photography Lifetime Guarantee

I am absolutely confident you will enjoy your prints and expect them to last generations. That being said, I also know things happen, especially in shipping. If you receive your order and something looks damaged please just email me (alex@alexarmitage.com) with a picture showing the damage to the package and I will take care of it as soon as possible. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, I will do everything I can to make it right.

I also offer a replacement policy in the event you damage your print, even by accident. This will exist for the lifetime of my work and will cost you only the production of the renewed print. Contact me with a description of what happened: “got dropped by the movers,” “my child crashed into it,” or anything of that nature.

I’ve yet to have an unsatisfied customer but in the rare event you received your work and are not satisfied and I cannot make it right, we can discuss returning the work with a 25% restocking fee depending on the circumstances.
